1984:
Mr. Jayesh Shah, a second-generation textile entrepreneur,
started Meera Enterprise,manufacturing woven fabrics on powerloom machines in Bhiwandi.
1994:
Meera Cotton was incorporated, beginning the manufacture of twisted yarn in Bhiwandi.
1997:
Started manufacturing polyester texturized yarn (DTY) in Daman.
2000:
Began manufacturing polyester knitted fabrics in Bhiwandi.
2002:
Established the Silvassa factory on a land parcel of 4.5 acres.
2008:
Initiated fabric exports, exporting woven georgette and chiffon to Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
2012:
Launched the garment division with a 350-machine garment factory in Bhiwandi.
2014:
Started garment exports to Italy and other major European ports.
2017:
Undertook major expansion in knitting and texturizing, doubling the capacity.
2021:
Commenced manufacturing sportswear garments for major domestic retailers.
